Are you ready for the new Mixx Next Stroller?
Nuna strollers are one of the leaders of the high-end stroller industry. The Nuna Mixx next Stroller is the latest revision to the popular Mixx. This stylish and high-quality stroller will have parents traveling on the go in style.
If you are familiar with the Mixx, believe it or not, the Mixx Next is even better! It is the most popular stroller in Nuna’s lineup and we’ll tell you why.
Adjustable Handlebar
Not all parents are the same height. This Nuna stroller has a 3-position handlebar. With 3-positions and with approximately six inches of extension, both parents will most likely find a comfortable position for their arms.
Suspension System
Nuna uses their Free-Flex suspension system in the rear, progressive suspension technology for the front wheels, and rubber foam-filled wheels, which all factor into an ultra-smooth ride for your child.
Previous versions of the Nuna Mixx had exposed springs; Nuna has addressed this issue and fully enclosed the suspension components.
Seating
The child seat in one phrase is simply amazing. In seconds you can flip the stroller seat to face forward or backward. The stroller seat has a removable two-piece insert; made of a bamboo blend that grows with your baby and provides a snug fit. Removing the insert exposes the mesh back that will provide ventilation for the warm months.
The seat has a 5-position, one-handed recline, and flat design. Furthermore, when the calf support is raised, and the seatback is fully reclined, it transforms the seat into a bed, providing a comfortable place for a nap when you’re out and about.
Safety Harness
The five-point harness on the Mixx Next is an innovative design. It’s a self-guiding magnetic buckling system called MagneTech Secure Snap that makes securing your child a breeze.
Please be mindful of any medical conditions your child may have that prohibits magnets from being near their body. You can always select a different stroller or contact Nuna for an alternative restraint solution.
Storage
As a parent, you want all the storage space available to pack all of your child’s essentials. Luckily, the Nuna Mixx Next has you covered. The stroller has a spacious two-compartment storage basket, which can hold up to 10-pounds of cargo. In addition, there is a secret zipper pocket. For mom and dad, there is a smartphone pocket on the back of the child’s seat.
Canopy
The canopy is full of features. There is a flip-out eyeshade visor that can be tucked away or pulled out. The canopy can be unzipped to provide an additional 6-8 inches of sun protection coverage; it also exposes the ventilation panels to keep your child comfortable. Plus, at the rear of the canopy, there is another ventilation panel and a peek-a-boo window. Lastly, the large UPF 50+ canopy is also water-repellant. The number of features could be overkill, but who’s seriously going to complain about a ton of features?
Folding
The folding is similar to the previous Mixx stroller. However, the rear wheels now articulate forward to create a smaller folded size. The wheels line up with the frame; this allows the stroller to stand on its own, unlike the previous Mixx models.
The Mixx still folds in seconds, quite literally. If you’re not familiar, it’s just a matter of flipping the seatback forward, pulling up on the sliding mechanism on each side of the handle rails, and throwing it forward. The stroller collapses on itself then you end up with a folded stroller.
Brakes
The Nuna Mixx’s main brake for the rear wheels uses a one-touch foot pedal; the front wheels can be locked and unlocked with a pull tab.
Nuna recommends using the front wheel lock in conjunction with the rear brakes when the stroller is sitting on an uneven surface.
On a side note, when the swivel front wheels are locked, it provides more stability for the stroller as you’re moving. It should not be confused for a braking system.
Travel System
Nuna offers the Mixx Next two ways. The stroller can either be purchased as a standard stroller or as a travel system variant.
The travel system includes the PIPA rx infant car seat, PIPA RELX base, and the PIPA car seat ring adapter. With all of that, you are ready to go anywhere with your child!
If you also want the bassinet as part of the travel system, a website called Strolleria has this offering.
Accessories
Nuna seemingly has thought of everything, but they fall a little short with their accessories. For the Mixx Next they have the following:
Child Tray
Cup Holder
Bassinet
Travel Bag
In large part, Nuna has neglected the parents. Other than the cup holder that clips to the handlebar rail and smartphone pocket, there isn’t a whole lot of convenience features for mom and dad.
A note about the cupholder, it must be removed- to fold the stroller. It’s a minor inconvenience but still worth mentioning.
Certification
If you are an environmentally conscious consumer, you will be glad to know the Mixx Next is UL certified GreenGuard Gold. Meaning it has been tested and certified to meet the emission standards of VOCs and chemical emissions.
You’ll know your child won’t be breathing in harsh and hazardous chemicals, and you’ll know you have purchased an eco-friendly product.
