One of the Best Strollers Has Gotten Even Better

The Bugaboo Fox2 is a luxury stroller that has undergone a facelift, including many upgraded features. The Fox2 has all the features you’re looking for in your new baby’s first ride. It stands out from other strollers with its chic and sleek design.

Before we discuss all the details, take a peek at the overview video from Bugaboo.

Adjustable Handlebar

With 8-inches of adjustability, parents of different heights will have no problem finding a comfortable position for their arms. It’s just a matter of unlocking the two clamps and sliding the handlebar to your desired height.

Suspension System

You do not often hear about a stroller with 4-wheel suspension, but the Fox2 is one of the few that does. In conjunction with the foam-filled puncture-proof wheels, central suspension, and 4-wheel suspension, the Fox2 will take you anywhere in comfort. Bumpy sidewalks, dirt paths, and grass fields are no match for this stroller.

With all the engineering and design put into this stroller, Bugaboo uses the term fingertip push. We can attest to that. It drives like a dream! The smooth glide is hard to put into words. It’s one of those things you have to experience first-hand. The experience will bring the “WOW” out of you!

Seating

Bugaboo is very inventive with its seating design. Instead of having a separate bassinet and child seat, they utilize the ring for both. Once your child outgrows the bassinet, it’s a matter of swapping out the bassinet material with the seat hardware, fabric, and footrest. A quick disclaimer, the change from the bassinet to the seat will take you anywhere from 5-15 minutes. It’s not a quick process, but you only have to do it once.

The Fox2 has improved the cushioning for both the bassinet and seat. The bassinet gets an aerated breathable top mattress- and the toddler seat gets additional padding. The already comfortable ride is improved a few notches than before.

Safety Harness and Bumper Bar

The Fox2 has a five-point safety harness. The padded and curved shoulder restraints are height-adjustable. To get the perfect fit- all you have to do is slide the shoulder straps up or down. Due to this handy feature of the comfort harness, regardless of your child’s height, they will be securely buckled in.

You can disconnect the bumper bar on either side and with a twist, the bar will swing out of the way. All to make getting your child in and out of the seat easier. And if you want the bumper bar out of your way altogether, it can be removed.

Storage

A large accessible under-seat storage basket with a load capacity of 22-pounds will be able to hold all your baby’s needs, whether you are out running errands or spending all day at the park.

Bugaboo has added pockets to the bassinet. With the addition of these pockets, they had parents in mind. They will hold anything from your smartphones, keys, or water bottles within arms reach.

Canopy

The extendable canopy now has two large ventilated peek-a-boo windows; they offer more airflow for your child. The sunshade fabric has the highest rating of UPF 50+ protection from harmful UV rays. For those unfamiliar, 50+ is maximum and will block all but 2% (or 1/50th) of harmful UVA and UVB radiation.

Folding

This is one area where we feel the Fox2 comes up short. Bugaboo markets a quick and easy folding process, but we feel it’s hardly quick or easy.

You first have to lower the handlebar down to the lowest position, fold down the canopy, unlock the bassinet or seat, fold the back half down by using two triggers, fold the front half into the rear portion, and twist two dials to lock the chassis.

Folding the stroller is truly a learning process. As far as we’re concerned, you really shouldn’t have to learn or practice how to fold a stroller. That right there means it isn’t easy. In comparison, many competing strollers do fold in literal seconds. And most have a two-step process. For example, unlock the locking mechanism and throw the stroller forward and watch it collapse onto itself.

Once it’s folded, it isn’t compact. Bugaboo lists a one-piece folded dimension and two-piece folded dimension.

One-Piece: The bassinet or seat is attached (18.5 x 23.6 x 35.4)
Two-Piece: The bassinet or seat is detached (33.7 x 24.7 x 13.4)

Bugaboo further suggests if you want the smallest folded size possible, remove the bassinet or seat and all four wheels. I don’t know about you, but the mere thought of re-attaching four wheels before I can get going is unappealing.

Two-Wheel Position

The two-wheel stroller conversion is a clever idea; however, we don’t suspect you’ll use this mode very often or ever. The thought behind this is to make getting through heavy snow and sand easier. There will be less resistance with two wheels, plus you will be pulling instead of pushing. In laymen’s terms, the stroller becomes a dolly (hand-truck).

Brakes

There’s not much to say about the braking system. It’s pretty straightforward and comparable to other strollers in this class. You press the foot pedal to engage the brakes, and you press again to disengage them.

Travel System

The standard Fox2 comes with the chassis, bassinet, and seat. If you require a complete travel system, Bugaboo offers the Fox2 Travel System Bundle. This bundle also includes the Turtle One by Nuna infant car seat, base, and adapters. The Turtle One car seat is extremely lightweight and safe. And it was created exclusively for Bugaboo.

It’s also worth noting that the Turtle One car seat can be used with any Bugaboo stroller (with the purchase of adapters).

Accessories

Bugaboo shines when it comes to accessories. They have thought of practically everything for you and your child! Here’s a list of their offerings:

  • Cup Holders
  • Organizer

  • Foot Muffs
  • Seat Liners

Customizing

Bugaboo offers customizing options for the Fox2. Before you get too excited, it’s probably not what you’re thinking. It’s limited to three components.

You can choose the color of your canopy and seating material. The third is the chassis color. Although the chassis comes in black, you have the option of adding aluminum accents.

  • The smooth glide and straight tracking
  • The handlebar can be adjusted 8-inches

What Parents Have to Say

From the moment we put it together we noticed how sturdy it was. We love how easily maneuvers on concrete or dirt. The compact fold makes loading and unloading in a car so convenient. It’s so luxurious yet very easy. Best stroller on the market!

I bought this about three months ago. My baby slept tight during traveling. I have no regrets and definitely recommend this to all of you. The newborn bassinet can even overcome light rain and snow!
